As someone who weighed 367 pounds, I say visit a dietician at your local hospital. Not Jenny Craig, etc. Go to a local hospital.
And follow your dietician's meal plan to a T. 4 years after I started, I'm down 132 pounds, no surgery, no medicine.
You can do it! And please do it now!!
No, depending on your height you could be just plain overweight or extremely obese but either way, it’s healthier to lose weight
No its not.
You need to figure out why its occurring. It might be a hormone imbalance; but, its most likely diet and lack of modest exercise.
I reached in the range of 300 Lb, and have lost about 100 Lb (I did loose 100, but have regained 10 this winter in part due to Covid long hauler issues).
I highly suggest that you seriously look at a Keto Diet. You can loose weight without being hungry eating healthy food for you.
Have the Dr check for hormone imbalances that would drive weight gain.
If you are male you may also need to at least temporarily raise your Testosterone Levels artificially until you reduce weight significantly. Note: Men who Take Testosterone will likely temporarily be infertile (although they will have normal if not enhanced sex drive). The infertility is usually self reversing after men get off the testoterone (although it may take 3-6 months, unless you take drugs to improve that). Very long term use will shrink a man's testicles unless you take drugs to eliminate that side effect; smaller testicles is related to increased infertility.
I wish you the best with this,
you should try to lose weight in any way you can, since this amount of weight is unhealthy. tell your doctor about your concerns.
nonetheless, don’t let any weirdos try to call you ugly or fat or whatever they can come up with, just focus on bettering yourself and ignore them.
It's an unhealthy weight even for a very tall person. I would definitely recommend taking steps to lose the weight before it leads to long term health issues. I think it is much better and easier to start at a younger age rather than later in life.
Sorry to be blunt but you are going to die young if you stay this big.
Even if you are unusually tall you are still in the morbidly obese BMI range at that weight.
Get some counselling and lose some weight but if you are going to the gym I suggest start small and then build yourself up to lose your weight.
Not unless you are 7ft tall with a large bone structure & even then you still might be a little obese according to most BMI charts.
