Is it normal for my 15 year old cat to only eat a few bites of food?

My 15 year old cat has cut down his eating to just a few bites of food and a few drinks of water. He used to love to be held and loved now he will let me pet him but he does not want to be held . after he eats he just goes somewhere away from everybody and lays down. Is there anything I can do?

    He's getting old. It's normal. When cats get old, they tend to lose appetite.
