My Maine coon cat LOOOVES yogurt. Wheneveri open a thing of yogurt my cat comes running from the other side of the house to lick the thing clean. I think he even knows the sound it makes when you open it
But it's only yogurt that he likes, not milk are cheese or anything else else but yogurt... So is it normal for cats to like only yogurt but not other dairy?
I heard that cat's don't digest dairy well. And this may cause it stomach problems. Don't give to your cat anymore. Until you consult a vet.
My cat also loves yogurt and I give her a spoonful almost everyday. The live beneficial bacteria is just as good for their digestion as it is for ours. My cat is 13 and she still runs around like a kitten. She has also tried, and liked dates and collard greens which is very unusual.
My cats LOVE yogurt, especially the Siamese! She runs right over and licks it right up. Though she also enjoys icecream and other dairy products. Come to think of it, my tabby pretty much only like yogurt - not icecream or milk.
The only people food my cat eats is yogurt too!! I'm surprised to read that someone else has a cat that way. She knows anytime I open the foil lid and sits there begging until I give her the last of it. She really likes strawberry. It's funny, she won't go near tuna, milk, eggs, or anything typical cats would kill for. Even though you're the only other person I've found with a cat like this, it's normal on my end! ;-)
You always see in cartoons cats drinking milk, but the truth is is that it is destructive to their digestive system and can harm them if you do it for a long period of time.
My cat eats mice and tiny gophers. One day I was outside and I saw Skippy with a little gopher in his mouth.
I think it's normal. One of my cats eats ice creme, doesn't drink milk but eats cheese.
Cats like the same things people like. I used to have a cat that loved beer and every time I opened a can, I had to pour him a little in his bowl.
