She hasn't been doing it lately, but she used to like smelling my dirty underwear I would leave on the floor before getting into the shower. I'll step out of the shower and be like, "Wtf?" She'll be rolling around in my dirty panties and sniffing them happily. She's done this with my mom's underwear too. What's the deal?
Two things. Animals tend to like the smell of their owners and as a result they sometimes like to go into their owner's dirty clothes and roll around in them. Underwear is one of the items of clothing where a persons unique scent is most pungent.
2nd: Animals, especially cats, also like to mark their owners with their own scent. This is why cats like to rub up against furnature and their owners, because they are claiming them with their own scent. So sometimes cats will roll around in dirty or freshly washed clothes because if you wear these clothes that smell like them, then every other cat knows you belong to them.
My cat does this all the time. The stinkier the better, although my armpit smell draws more attention than my underwear.
My 8 year old cat does it also. And he likes to roll in my husbands sweaty work shirts. My other 18 year old cat, when she used to care about things, lived clean laundry coming out of the dryer. She used to race me to where I would fold the laundry just so she could jump in the middle of it and hide. I guess she liked the warmth.
My cat used to roll around in ants when we used to have an ant problem. So I could say it's normal that cats are weird lol

My girlfriends cat does this. We live together but he only does it to her under garments. His nickname is "Purr Purr" but when I see him doing this I call him "Purrvert.". Corny, I know, much funnier in person. Little purrvert cats.
Is it normal for my male cat to show that he is excited while doing this? He gets a bit pointy, his lipstick come out, if you get what I mean
My 1 year old female cat loves my husbands dirty underwear! hahah or she'll find his stinkiest clothes and will rub, smell, bite, and lick. I think its because she's attracted to his smell and though she's spayed she is of sexual age... but what's wierd is that she's done this since she's been a baby.haha her name is STINKY!(true i swear).. humm My baby boy kitten(Peanut) likes my clothes but it has to be clean.
