Is it normal for my dog to catch & eat moths that fly around my house?

so yesterday, my lil chihuahua had some bug cornered. so it flys away & she tries to chase it. i halfway kill it & show it to her & tell her it was just a moth, so she just randomly eats it out of my hand!!! It was so funny!!!! then she ate another one last night. My cat does the same thing with crickets...are my animals going insane?!?!

    oh my god our older cat does the same thing with flys, moths, frogs, lizards, you name it, anything that comes into the house, he'll dismember and or eat them alive. he once almost ate a skank that got in but nothin happened to him cuz its a good thing that lil bugger got a way quick enough. we used to have a chihuahua though and she was so damn spastic she would have run for cover and spazed out if she saw a frog or moth good thing she's gone now :)

    You have moths in your house...? I've heard of "bats" in the bellfrey...
    And I've also heard of people who suffer from "crotch crickets, but......Moths..?

    My big dog eats flys
    My small dog eats ants
    My black cat eats birds
    My yellow cat eats mice

    Its normal.My dog used to do that also when he was younger.he'll catch a fly and eat it.

    Totally normal. My dogs do it all the time. Moths, flies or any other bug that happens to get in to the house that the cat hasn't gotten to first.

    Dogs and cats are actually very well known for their, well, attraction to small things that move fast. So, no, your dog and cat are not insane. There's probably some part of the bugs that attract them, but it should be harmless, unless they're eating like 10 a day or something, lol.

    I wish my dog ate moths, I hate them so (moths, not dogs :P)

      I have some sort of mothaphobia, XD Cause a giant one smacked me in the head when i was little. Now i hate them. o-o

    One time I saw a dog do that I was so sickened and grossed out I took off my heels and hit the dog in his face
