Is it normal for my dog to eat little stuffed acorns?

I bought my dog this little squirrel which, when I brought it home, happened to have little stuffed acorns inside of it. He loves to chew on the acorns ALL. DAY. LONG. Once he lost it and I had just brought over a treat so he got up and looked everywhere for it and then gave it to me in exchange for the treat.

The first dog my family had as a kid ate an acorn once. From the look on her face, I think they must taste really bitter to dogs. Maybe your dog just likes bitter things. :)

I think the OP is talking about a stuffed toy.

All of my dogs tear the stuffing out of soft toys until they are just carrying a one inch square of threads around. They get great satisfaction worrying and ripping the cloth.

Aww, that's cute. I don't think acorns are poisonous to dogs. I guess it's like how us humans sometimes like to eat nuts. It's normal.
