Ok my dog hacks when you take her for walks Excessive foam comes out of her mouth, she don't have rabies or anything, it drives me crazy. And you can hear it from like a mile away.
At times it can be really really embarrassing to.
Your dog must pull you when you walk. Mine used to pull at first. Coughs, hacks, until I got her to calm down and walk beside me. The collar is basically choking them because they pull to hard out of excitement of going for a walk. I now have a harness on her when I take her. Much better!!
I go for harnesses too. Happy dog and happy owner.
To the OP, dogs will also hack after they've eaten grass. They generally do this as a natural response to feeling unwell. If it's not the choking action of the collar (which to be honest, I'm pretty sure it is), see a vet.
tori you hit the nail on the head again. to OP you'd hack too if you were dragged around by your neck
As everyone else said ^ UR CHOKING HER!! But the foam is normal..that's just her spit :)
Get the one vest collar thing u attach the leah to the vest to theydnt choke
Some dogs are more sensitive to collars, why not use a harness instead :)
