Well ... Im Wiccan Pagan ......but my family is too religious .....i have nothing against them but they know im Wiccan Pagan and they make me do religious things .....that are partially against my beliefs .........is it normal for my family to be soo close minded about Paganism and Wicca and science ?
You are very brave to be able to be open with them about this. Their behaviours make sense of they are Christians. I am not sure how Muslims would respond towards Paganism/Wiccan. Some Jews have an issue with Gentiles. However, there is a strong movement of Jewish-Mysticism so, they probably wouldn't have an issue with your beliefs. I am just trying to cover the main basics since you didn't specify. Do you still live with them? Are you an adult? Are there any Pagan/Wicca support groups in your area?
I'm confused. You do realize that Wicca has its own practices and traditions. What I am getting from you is that you are a non practicing Wiccan in a practicing secular environment. If that is so I can relate to your situation. It is hard to stand your ground alone. But keep in mind that secular practices are similar to Wiccan practices, at least at their core. Also, a Wiccan can also be a christian, or catholic, or whatever. Wicca sees the divine in most religions. I say most because there are some practices that are just...wrong.
In conclusion, I suggest that you educate yourself and those around you about Wicca to find acceptance.
They will probably think you are Satanic and whatnot.. bcuz these such religions, you are taught to say all power of the mind is satanic, so that is probably tough if they're going to try to save you from satan or something.. lol if i were you, hide the stuff that would regard as satanic but understand they mean well
