Is it normal for my friend to do this?

My friend seems rather obsessed with another one of her friends. She records this girl acting 'funny' or silly and makes me watch the videos. She's been doing this for a year and this girl is a complete stranger to me (I've only briefly spoken to her twice) The videos aren't even funny really, but my friend will play them over and over again on repeat and say things like, "omg she's so fucking hilarious!"
Idk if she's trying to make me jealous or she's genuinely obsessed, but I find it really fucking weird! Does anyone else know someone who does this and/or would you consider it normal?

    Your friend sounds creepy, and really annoying. I don't have a lot of patience for that sort of behavior. The older I get the less patience I have for bullshit, and I honestly like that about myself.

    She is kinda weird, don't think she is trying to make you jealous though.

    You know how it is with close friends, they do something an its hilarious but if a stranger does it, its stupid.

      She, not he. I've considered the possibility that she's in love with this girl, but now I don't think that's the case. I highly doubt she's bi or a lesbian. She talks about guys she has crushes on all the time.

      I think she's obsessed with this girl in a stalkerish kind of way. I suspect she may have borderline personality disorder.

        Tell her you don't give a shit about the videos, the girl, or your friends dumb stalkerish behavior. Does the other girl know about this? If she doesn't perhaps she should be secretly notified of it before your friend stabs her out of obsession or jealousy.
