Is it normal for my kitty to be doing this?

On somewhere along the back of my cat, near his tail, there's a spot that causes him to viciously lick the air if you scratch it. Putting your hand (or anything, really) near him will make him lick you like hardcore and sometimes bite.

I'm not really concerned about it, but is this normal?

    Both of my cats get off on that! The boy cat will drool! Ewww! My dog loves it also.

    My cat does that too, her 'G-Spot' is right above her tail.
