I try to teach her to bark at everybody equally, not just at black people. But she still barks up a storm whenever she sees a black person.
Yes, my 10 year old golden does that also. It's worse if they wear a hoodie.
i knew someone who had a dog that would bark fiercely at black people...lol..
My dad/stepmom's Yorkie barks at everyone but goes absolutely mad when he sees any dark-skinned or black person, haha. He could be in the car with us and notice a black dude driving a bus two lanes away and start barking like crazy. Nobody taught him this; he just started recently doing it, haha. It's hilarious. Anyway, I wish I knew where he got this from...
That's kinda funny, my girlfriend's dog does the same thing when she see a black person on the tv.. But yeah, dogs bark at whatever they want to bark at.. I think it's normal your just thinking about it too much... Maybe your the racist... Just kidding :)

I read about a German man who trained his dog to give a Nazi salute with its paw when he issued the order, "Gruss!" He then repeatedly took his dog (named Adolf) to a Jewish school at finishing time and would say "Gruss, Adolf, Gruss!" as the kids came out. The only nice part of the story is that the kids thought he was a kindly old man who'd taught his dog to perform tricks for them.
Regardless of the story, dogs aren't inherently racist. Nor is your "white" poodle somehow different racially from a black poodle. Dogs bark at what they bark at. It's fine.
yeah my dogs are racist too. one of them has black fur and the other is white with black spots so you could even say that one of them hates their own kind....but the black one mainly barks at men, you should see how he reacts when there is a black guy at the front door! they dont even have time to ring the door bell before my dog is trying to tear through the front screen door to get to them!
