Is it normal for some families to practice healthy nudity in their home?

Nudity within the family is very normal and can be normal for some extended families. However, extending it to cousins, nieces, nephews, and or their friends when they're young could raise some concerns and probably get you arrested in the USA.

What you do in allowing (not forcing) your children to go nude is totally up to you but other peoples children probably crosses the line.

I encouraged nudity and we had no problems in my immediate family, but we made sure the children knew, this was not the norm in every household and to wear clothing unless they knew it was absolutely acceptable in other areas. You must also unfortunately make them aware of predator/dangers from others.

shaming nudity is an American thing, nudity in other countries isn't looked down on like it is here in the USA. nudity is a natural thing. I saw both my father and mother fully naked at different times growing up, and there was no quick attempt to hide parts from eyes. there were also other times when my parents have seen me naked both as a child and an adult without shame. its up to each individual family how they view nudity at home.

Yes, it is normal for some families to practices nudity in their home. There are families that are nudist.

However, that is different than expecting other families to be more open on this behavior. There are a wide variety of cultures and issues involved here... and it's not our position to push private values on them. Just let them do what they do.

Humans have adapted to live practically everywhere, because of the marvelous invention of clothing.

I dont see what's so "liberating" of being nudist around others. Being naked is completely normal... by yourself, around your partner, and in a bathhouse environment.

Do whatever you want inside your house but that's totally weird and expect to be called out for such.

I fully support nudity. It's not a sexual thing it's a practical thing. When I'm home I have zero reason to wear clothes so I don't. If I lived down south and wouldn't get arrested if probably be nude all the time. It's just practical

I wished my family would have been nudists. As it was, my mother would freak out if I slept nude. Maybe because she caught me with a morning hardon.

If nobody is a pedophile/predator, sure. It's hard to tell, though.

I would never allow that in my home, nor would I allow my future children to do that at somebody else's.
