When I was on Tinder, I was chatting with someone, and I asked him out eventually. He then tells me that he is only on tinder to look for new friends. Now I'm wondering. Why the hell would someone use a dating app to find friends? Is this normal?
I actually used the site to reconnect with old friends assuming everyone was on it. Found one. It didn’t work out in just a “friendly” manner.
I feel like that's an excuse to sleep with you without there being attachments on his part because you're just "friends". It's absolutely not normal, its tinder and people on there are either looking for a relationship or a one night stand.
Yeah i've done that, or well not really friends but just random chatting with people and scrolling through profiles when i'm bored. I know many others do the same thing. That's why it's probably a better idea to pay for a more serious dating app if you're looking for serious dates. Tinder is an easy pasttime to mend boredom when there aren't enough apps or active enough apps merely for making new friends. I only find it suspicious when someone is in a relationship but go on Tinder writing in their bio that they're looking for friends since they have a partner already... Seems disrespectful to use an app aimed at dating (and hookups) when you have a partner.
I remember a few years ago, the dating sites I was on had the option to choose if you wanted a relationship, friends with benefits, or just friends. I always found the friends option weird. I never trusted someone that would message me saying they were only looking for friends. XD
Actually I change my mind no, its not really normal and last time I checked the app is used for dating.
