Is it normal for the fading of marks to slow down?

I've got three minor cuts on my forearm and I m not sure if they have scarred permanently or not. The cut did not go deep, and only a very small amount of blood leaked. It s not as if I needed any stitches as the cut wasn't open. It s been about 3 months since it happened, and the marks have faded a lot, but i've noticed the fading has slowed down and it s stayed the same for a while. There is still some redness there (especially when it gets wet), and there is just a line of where it once was, but it s still visible. I really want these scars to go. I just want to know if it can be permanent or not, I know it's hard to say seeing as you haven't seen it, but based on this description, is this normal?

You might need to give it more time. I'm not sure if this is comparable, but back in 2011, I had a horrible flea infestation. I had clusters of bites on my arms and legs, some of which I scratched to the point where the bites connected, got larger, and became a "mega wound". The mega wound scars faded after a year. The individual ones stuck around. For those I used a cream called Mederma. It worked for most of them.(The ones on my upper arm are still obvious though.)

They will fade in time, if you are young. The older you get, the slower they fade.

Supposedly there are creams you can get to rub into scars to help them fade, and piercing a vitamin E capsule and rubbing the oil into the scar is supposed to help too. No idea from personal experience, scars don't bother me.

Take a snail and rub it over the marks. Do this for a month. You will be amazed. Nothing would have happened.

He means there will be no difference in the scar. Not exactly helpful our Jesus.

Give it 7 years and they should be gone or all but gone.

They say our bodies completely replace themselves in 7 years.

Please let me know who "they" are so I can ask them why I still have a 44 year old caesarian section scar? Body cells do replace themselves, but the replacement cells aren't any younger than the previous ones or we wouldn't age and it obviously doesn't apply to some scars
