Is it normal for tv's to turn off on their own?

I've had the RCA projection TV since 2004 and it has worked well since but in the past year it has turned itself off twice. I'm wondering if this is normal or does it Mean it's on it's way out?

Sounds like she's overheating. Do you have it close to a wall or heater?

Is it possible for someone to have accidentally turned on the sleep setting?

I think some TVs have a programed system that makes them shut off after being idle for a certain amount of time or it could be that its be overheating.

I'm going to say that you're probably haunted. And that's... normal?

Could be a short or broken/dry solder or component going bad. Any number of things. If it doesn't happen consistently could be over heating.

only when it goes to sleep or maybe if it overheats (which i guess could mean it's out) or maybe there's something with the remote, or ghosts
