Is it normal for women to like watching sports?

I find it weird when women can honestly say they watch football (soccer) and are interested in it, not for the social aspect (hanging out in public areas with so friends and all the men around) but have a serious interest in the sport?

Women should be in the kitchen and cooking dinner.

    Typical tea bagger thinking.

It's hard to explain but I find it weird too. I just can't imagine a group of women sitting together analysing a match, or a chick sitting at home watching a game and screaming at the TV in disgust or delight.

For example, I was at home by myself last night watching the England match. When we (England) scored the third goal, I was up on my feet, beating my chest and shouting stuff like "come on! get the fuck in ya fucking bastards!"

Could you imagine a 20 year old woman doing this? I think not.

I'm a 20-year-old woman and I swear and yell at the TV as I watch sports. Sports are one of the few things I actually watch on TV. Keep in mind I'm from the USA, so football is American football, but I'll do it for basketball/hockey/baseball/soccer, whatever. Love it.

How is it weird? I can honestly say that I enjoy watching soccer. Especially when my team is playing (Mexico!:D). When it comes to soccer, I'm a big fan! Same with basketball.

The fact that you call it a "game" justifies my point. It's a sport.

People don't say "Hey did you see the sport last night?"

      They say the game.

It's a sport, but it's commonly referred to as a game too.

Women's minds work differently from men. I don't see how our multitasking minds can sit and watch football for that long without being distracted!
