If you bend it to the point where it pops...give it a shake & it'll glow in the dark.
I've never experienced it, and my understanding of penis physiology leads me to think it's not normal.
As you probably know, the internal structure of the penis is pretty simple: basically two tubes of tissue that fill with blood and expand and stiffen. During sexual arousal, a valve opens and the flow of blood into the penis exceeds the capacity of the outlet, and so the tubes fill up.
There shouldn't be any popping sensation associated with this.
Some guys don't know that it is possible to fracture their dick. If those tubes are bent too much, it's possible for them to be damaged. It may sound funny - in an eye-watering way - but it's not, because you can end up with a dick that has a permanent bend and it is possible for erectile firmness to be reduced. Very vigorous cowgirl is when this most often happens; if the woman goes up, the guy slips almost all the way out and she comes down forcefully, it's possible for her weight to bend the shaft of the penis so much the tubes rupture. This is something that requires immediate medical attention (in spite of the fact that it's very embarrassing).
It entirely sensible for you to be concerned about the popping sensation, but I think the main thing is how well your penis works. If your erections seem to be more or less like what you see in porn, if there's no pain, and if your penis works well enough to make you and your partners happy, then I wouldn't worry about it.
What does this mean? A pop as in it makes a "pop" noise, or a popping feeling, whatever that may be?
