Is it normal for your dog to bark intensely at cleaning equipment?

We got a new puppy a few months ago; a Welch Corgi. She's relatively well behaved, but whenever someone brings out the vacuum, broom, leaf blower, or practically anything that cleans, she goes insane, runs over to the thing, and starts barking rapidly in a frightening high-pitched squeal. We have tried to hold her down and show her that it won't hurt her, but she can't get over it and desperately tries to get away like it's the end of the world. Our first dog, a Golden Retriever, never did this. We think it might have to do with trauma from the cleaners at the pet store in the mall where we got her from. Is this dog normal?

My golden retriever is so afraid of the vacuumm. She will almost kill herself trying to get away. She's ok with everything else.

Normal.....my puppy does this all the time hey tries to confront the vacuum, he barks at it and then runs behind me. I think you should try to get someone to walk her while u are cleaning.
