My girlfriend always wants to be with her dog. She wants him in or near her lap or holding him in her arms all the time. When we are together, the dog is always part of it. He is even in the bed when we have sex. I'm a dog lover but I am kinda weirded out. Is this normal?
Trust me, you don't want to get seriously involved with a dog freak. I dated a dog freak once and her kid, who was a little over a year old, just started walking, was attacked by a dog and almost killed. The girlfriend said it was a stray dog that got in the yard and she had to fight it off. A few days later, a neighbor came forward and said it was the girlfriend's own Rottweiler that attacked her child and she was making up the story about the stray dog. Dog freaks value dogs above everything else on earth, even their own children. Animal control took her dog and put it down and she was a lot more upset over the loss of the dog than the fact that her child was maimed and scarred for life.
If it came down to a choice between you and that damned dog, your girlfriend would choose the dog in a heartbeat!
Your girlfriend has some serious problems and the "dog thing" is just the tip of the iceberg. Take my advise and dump this girl and find someone normal.
Does she dress the dog in lingerie when it's in bed with you two having sex? Just asking...
Get a new girlfriend. She likes the dog more than you. I dated a girl like that once. When she started talking about the damn dog and how it's the only one that understands her and that kind of crap. I started talking about how awesome my car is and then went home! That will learn her!
Having a dog on your bed, while having sex is too fucked up! Dump her ass and get another girlfriend. Just don't get a cat-psycho XD I hear those are even worse!
She loves her dog, but maybe it's like a comfort blanket for her? She needs to be comfortable enough to know the boundaries. The dog shouldn't be observing while you're doing that. I have a dog, but I wouldn't want him to be there if I was making love. That's too awkward for words.

Lol that reminds me of my mom and our dog. It's like she gave birth to her. But I think it's normal & a good thing to treat pets like family. But if you're creeped out about him on the bed while ur doing it, you may want to tell her lol
there is obviously psychological trauma, talk with her and try to work out any problems, people raised with animals around them will take solitude in their animal friends when humans fail to listen.
She may also be an animal lover (not in the sexual sense that all these idiots think of). again see if she was raised around animals, people make strong links with animals often.
People who can't bear to be separated from an animal aren't normal and if a person isn't normal in one respect, chances are, she has other problems as well. My advice is to get out of this relationship before there's a child to consider.
I tried discussing putting some boundaries on the dog. That went over like a fart in church. I really don't want that much... I don't think. I would just like to hold her without also having to hold the dog and I don't want a furry little observer sitting on the bed when we have sex. Is that too demanding?
