I wanted to link my friend to a song I like very much and I think they will too but I cannot find a single version of it on YouTube. It's newer but not that new.
Has this ever happened to you?

What did you do to rectify the situation?

Years ago I heard a song on pandora that wasn't anywhere but a random site where you could only play it but not download it. Dont remember what song it was... some singer-songwriter stuff. but I googled ways how to get it and one way was "capture audio without using a mic." Complicated shit. Must have taken me 1-3 hours to figure out how and finally get it. And then barely play it given I don't even remember the name. Ha
A couple of years ago I was obsessed with a few of DJ Auzern's songs, specifically "Ligger Med Varandra" and to a lesser extent "Jenny's Vinter". I loved "Ligger Med Varandra" so much that I even used its melody as the basis for my imaginary world's "national anthem". To say I was disappointed when it* was removed from Youtube is an understatement.
* "It" referring to DJ Auzern's song, not my anthem. I'm never making that shit public.
One song that seems to be hard to find on YouTube is an old song by Carly Simon called You're So Vain. I only seem to find either the re-recorded version or a concert version. I'm too cheap to purchase/download it, so I'll just forget about it.
It took me forever to find a Candiria song. I didn't know the name of it and any lyrics I put in came up with nothing. Finally I found it. Yay.
