Is it normal, goldfish death from passing gas ??

About a week or two ago a won a goldfish at the fair. Named her Cabree. Anyways I was in my room getting dressed and I got the urge to pass gas, so I farted directly in her fishbowl just for the hell of it. About 1-2 minutes later she floats to the top dead. I was devastated, but it was also fucking hilarious. I fed her regularly and not too much or too little, she seemed healthy. Was this a coincidence ?? What do you guys think.

    Once, I saw a guy get tear gassed in the face, and he died. Must be thre same thing for fish.

      Well I am not sure about how the fart would have killed him. If you want a honest answer, yet reading It I am myself am very skeptic. I think if it did die when you did that maybe it suffocated or your gas since it has a chemical the fish could not breath in. Also I think they believe it to be a joke because the story is ridiculous.
