Is it normal i am a deist to some extent?

So I was raised in a family where my dad is Muslim and mum is Christian. We lived in a Christian environment and I went to a Christian catholic school. My dad doesn't mind and has no problem with that, he doesn't even follow the Muslim rituals as he should. Throughout my teenage years I noticed there was something wrong with that concept called "religion" and decided to follow dad's path, though by law I decided to be a Christian, is it normal I though that same way back when I was 12, and is it normal I'm following the concept referred to as deism? It's like there's a God, just one who's there for the whole world and not through "religions"
