Is it normal i buy books but never finish any of them ?

Everytime I go to the store to buy books I pick them at random . I have a lacke of entertainment with poeple as my joy seems to fluster and I would like to read its looks so intresting and alluring but I never finish half the books I buy. I pick them at a whime and I only read half of them I like when they have a sale of cheap books so i do not waste as much money. I stopped buying books but I only read the Wierdest books that no one has ever heard of . You know like that old dusty one in the corner that bareley anyone cares about ? I also tend to get bored of tv aswell I tend to flip channel to channel not really finding interest in anything I do this with the cartoons aswell . Its kind of odd I use to have netflix I did the same thing with that . my mind seems to jump from place to place all the time is it odd that I always do this ? My mind never seems to concentrate on one things it seems to be everywhere all the time as I am sure you can tell from my posts . My mind tends to be Spuratic ?

    Yeah; I find myself doing that too. I think it's because I'm so easily distracted. I always say I'm gonna finish a book and then wind up getting through maybe three chapters...and never coming back to it. I wish I could break that spell!

    I always read 2-3 books at once time-sharing between them but I suffer from ADD.

    Some one actually convinced me to acquire Twilight. I got through maybe three pages before I almost jumped out of a window.

      Twilight is complete krap ! I hate mainstream anything . No one ever shuts up about them and it gets down right annoying and most mainstream is annoying and pretty stupid anyhow .

    That's a shame. I've only ever had this problem once, with Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky:( I don't even know why, it's an excellent book, but I've tried (and failed) to read it twice now. And now it's just sitting on my shelf wanting to be read. Damn it, I will read this bookD:!!

    Anyway, try to commit, you'd be surprised how easy it is once you get into it.

    Lots of book-posers do this. You buy the book and put it on a shelf. Now when people come over, you look well-read.

    No!!!!

    You buy those books and you read them! If you don't read them, then its a waste of your money, the writers blood, sweat and tears, and the publishers resources!

    If you don't want them, than give them to someone else!

      I have given most of them to the library or the orphanage I have a few left I already read or just do not want anymore .

    I bought a 200 year old bible from a website once
    (later chatted with the seller and it turned out it had been passed down through her family)

    I'll never ever read it but it is fun to have something that is 200 years old :)
    (technically it's from 1844)

    I have looked through it a few times just too see how the language was back then, haha so hard to understand old Swedish :)

      I do not read books on the internet ! Where is the COllector value if I am going to read a book Ill buy the book not download a worthless digital copy . What happens if I lose my device oh what the waste of money that would be .

      Sure thing give me a place to send them and Ill be sure to do that I already gave all my old kids book from middle school to the libraian and one to my other freind . Give me somewere to send them and I will I do that .
