Is it normal i can't leave messages on an answering machine?

I really hate leaving messages on phones and I have no idea why. It just feels really weird like I'm talking to myself or something strange. I just can't leave messages on an answering machine and I don't know why! Does anyone else hate leaving messages or is it just me?

    Does anyone else have no idea how to hang up the phone when recording a message? Definitely the worst part.

    Sometimes I scream really loud into the phone. Then I lol at the thought of the person being deafened and frightened by the message.

    I hang up when I hear the machine to, and it drives me up the wall when people listen through your machine message just to leave you a blank message or one of them just hanging up the phone.
