Is it normal i can't let inanimte objects go?

Even if I want to be nice and donate something or whatever, I just can't.I'm like "*sniff*..I feel bad..". It's the same when I eat things! If I'm full but I haven't finished, I eat the rest anyways because I'll feel bad if "not all of it goes together."

I think I have a hoarding problem. It's not BAD, but when I try to clean my room (like right now) I find myself having difficulties sorting things out and tossing/donating them. IIN?

Hmm.. You might have a hoarding problem. But you won't know until you talk to a professional.

    • I suspected as much. Did I mention I often apologize to the objects too?

I think... you need to destroy things. It should lessen the attachment. It seems like you care too much about the stuff, so if you get used to "hurting" the stuff, then you won't feel as bad. I think.

    Make any sense?

    • But why would I want to hurt the stuff if it'll make me feel even worse?

I'm having a hard time tossing things out.

Are you having a difficult time tossing things out for a reason? There's got to be a reason why you're feeling the way you are then.

        • If it describes any better my personal life, as a kid my mother would always pretend to make inanimate objects.

And whenever we see something cute in the store she's like "Get iiiit it will be saaad!"

Not to jump to conclusion but I blame her for this.

This is pretty good advice. You would be doing the items a favour by getting them away from your destructive self.

      • But that's not how I normally am, so if I'm myself, there would be no need.
