Is it normal i do not understand the attraction to cartoons?

I do not understand the attraction to cartoons. Maybe cartoons being sexually since you are thinking about the act. However why would you be attracted to a cartoon/anime. I mean you can not touch it or ever desire to be with it. At least if you are in love with a celeberty they are real. So it is in fact possible(not likely) but possible to touch them. Anyone else find this strange or am I the only one? Where is the logic in this?

    People like detail. The people in anime are drawn to look like what we, society, consider to be attractive and add finer detail. While you can't touch an anime character you can still fantasize about one, I mean hell, in your imagine anything could be real. I get where you're coming from that you can't touch an anime character, but you could still desire him/her. I think if you like hentai you know that you can't be with the character, but you can at least admire the design and how amazingly drawn it is.

      People actually have this idea they can have sex with gaara. You can not have sex with gaara. Now if you think a guy in a gaara costume is hot. That is normal. How can you have sex with gaara though? I do not understand the logic at all. That is not just admiring the design. They believe they are going to have sex with this character. Explain to me how this is possible?

        In that case there is no explanation other than the person is delusional. But most people I know, and don't know, understand that you cannot have sex with a hentai character, but like how they look enough to masturbate to one.

    Are you aware that many people has a crush on Jack Frost? Then there's the appeal of Jessica Rabbit...
    It does not limit to anime, I guess it's how aesthetically well the characters are created, along with the personality given an all that. I can understand the appeal.

        Have you never had crush from a distance? You didn't feel like you could touch them either, but you still fancied them, right?

        I think its more that they wish they could rather than that they think they could.

        i cannot explain beyond the borders of aesthetic attraction that is just admiration. Obsession is something else. If they feel it's not enough they'd just get one of those waifu - thingamajig or mattress covers or some weird shit.
        but what does this matter to us 'sane' people? Let them be, as long as I'm not dragged into whatever this thing they're into.
        But yes, it IS NORMAL to NOT UNDERSTAND why.

          Well usually you are dragged into it. Since they have this idea they are in a relationship with said character and anyone else who even says they like that character will get their faces broken in. That was beside my point though. I just do not understand this obsession people seem to have. It is scary and it bothers us sane people when they are ready to kill over it.

    Unlike animals, humans are quite complex when it comes to sexual desire. Just seeing underwear can make some people get aroused, just because the item reminds them of the act itself.

    Cartoons or animes in particular are something like that. Some people get aroused just by reading or hearing a story. Having a visual aid, even if it isn't realistic, makes the fantasy stronger. People don't really believe they will be able to have sex with Goku... but just the idea of someone with that body makes girl squeal.

    I saw the first movie. It didn't revive my Daphne crush. I preferred Linda Cardellini's curves to Sarah M-G's lack of them. They'll remain a hazy memory while I only have eyes for the MILF that is Liane. Sad but true.

    When I was a kid I had a crush on Scooby Doo's Daphne. Ever since, I've had 'healthy' crushes on various actresses n pop stars with the only constant being Lena Olin. As an adult male you'd think I'd have no use for cartoons,, much less crushes on cartoon characters. Alas, I cannot tell a lie. Just recently I've developed major hots for Liane Cartman. (I don't care if she's a dirty slut!). Given the chance, I'd be up her like a rat up a fuckin' drainpipe! I'm just gonna go with the flow till it wears off - and hope Lena doesn't find out. It's true what they say,,, love strikes when you least expect it.
