Is it normal i do this before i erase my save file?

So I gave some old Pokémon games to my 11 year old cousin, before I do it I make sure I transfer all of my Pokémon to Pokémon HOME before I give my cousin my old games, the reason why I transfer all of it is because it would be pretty pointless to give my cousin overlevelled Pokémon and shiny ones that I obtained myself ( also counting the event Pokémon.), also after transferring it and erasing it I then give it to him.

The other reason why I give it to my cousin is because most of the games take up space in my room.

But also I want him to have the same fun as I did when I grew up playing those games.

    You can't just /hand/ your cousin Pokémon like that. He isn't yet a Pokémon master. He could try to destroy the world with that kind of power.
