Is it normal i don’t want to “hook up” with guys

I find that a lot of my friends hook up on tinder, and that’s what they all do. I don’t want to do that when I enter college and start dorming. People have told me to just hook up and it’ll be fine. I just don’t feel comfortable nor do I like seeing other people hurt. I don’t want to have a guy have feelings for me, and then it’s just a one night stand. Does this make sense? Am I stupid for not wanting to hook up at all? I mean, I’m also not too attractive so I don’t know who would hook up if I wanted to. I just want to find the right guy and not have to deal with any hookups. Is that normal?

Wanting a long term, committed relationship is perfectly normal. Not many people are willing to admit that quick hook ups my feel physically gratifying but can leave you feeling emotionally hollow.

People are shallow, self centered a lot.
    Doesnt mean you should be.
If you want to be a dirty little girl, thats fine.
If you want an actual relationship.
    Thats fine also.
Be you, dont let others decide for you.

Some people don't have high sex drive.
It's a sign of intelligence. Congratulation.

Totally normal. You don't want a slam bam thank you ma'am kind of fling. You want a committed relationship that is not based solely on sex. I applaud your decision.

  • Entirely normal. You’ll meet ppl at school, but you must be active in dorm and college social activities.
