Is it normal i don't buy into religion?

I don't understand how it could be possible and am much more into the science/evolution of things than anything else. Evolution is a fact, I don't understand how people are still uneducated/refuse to believe in facts over fiction.

IIN? Sorry if I offend any religious people.

I completely agree with this. Me saying I believe everything just formed by god is the same as me saying Fairies are real.

Three reasons why people still believe in religion:

    1) Self-hate: Religion is able to manifest itself when people see themselves as inferior, needing and depending on a "higher power". Religious institutions take advantage of this by telling children that they are worth nothing without God. So, obviously, it will be hard for that child to shake off belief lest he completely lose himself.

    2) Mob Mentality: An estimated 90% of the world believes in a religion/higher power/god. People want to be in the "in" crowd, so they follow religion. Religious institutions take advantage of this by instituting apostasy laws, scaring the masses into submission. Then, they further this by basing cultures and civilizations on the religion. This will deter anybody who wants to leave the religion as they do not want to be shunned by society.

    3) Hysteria/Comfort: People do not want to discomfort themselves. This is the weakness of the human as it allows a person to discard rational thought for a comforting lie. Religious institutions take advantage of this by scaring them into submission (eternal damnation),then giving them a comfortable solution: obey and you will be saved. Mob mentality makes obeying orders easy and comfortable. Humans are intelligent, but the need to for pleasure totally limits rational decision to only what doesn't scare them. This is why many intellectuals, even in the modern day, believe in God.

They're ignorant; very poor at problem solving, and are lost without a manual for life.

Yes of course it's normal your only human and if you have the option to believe you also have an option to not believe because you are your own individual and not everyone will agree with the same thing. I personally am spiritually religious I believe in god I believe in the universe itself I believe god created the universe. I don't believe all of the bible at all! Are you kidding me guys do you know how many times people have gotten ahold of not only the Christian bible but other religions bibles/scrolls/whatever and have had the chance to throw in or change whatever! There is bad in the world and of course people have messed with religious books so of course not all of it is true. Here on here people try to dictate religion, people try to show off they're atheist, and yes you religious people try to shove what you believe into peoples faces, but no one is right how would that be possible. Everyone is different duh. That's why we're all unique some of us want to believe in something as a group because we agree on that subject in our lives and wish to celebrate it with others and be around a good loving environment (whatever the belief may be or whatever be the environment) with other people that share the same opinion, and have the right to what we believe in doesn't make anyone better of a person to believe in god, and it doesn't make anyone ignorant for believing because everyone makes stupid mistakes. Once again everyone is different that's why we humans have to learn to live together tolerate people you don't like but in a positive approach. If you don't like someone that is or isn't religious then it's simple walk away from them, ignore them, don't include them in your life if your not comfortable with how they live theirs but do it in a positive way there's no reason not to treat others the way you want to be treated. And I mean that so seriously everyone shouldn't be rude about it I mean it's all right here on this site in the comments the results of being negative, positive comments can even end up with negative response, but tolerate it by moving on, ignore it by not picking at it like buzzards on a carcass.

religion focuses on what we do for GOD instead of what GOD done for us and continues to do. dont live by religon live by what GODS Word says, self-righteous people try to live holy but they wont accept the Free Gift that GOD is offering therefore their righteousness are as fuilty rags

Some theories are more realistic then others, but as I strongly oppose religion, it is that I currently see no other way the universe could have come to existence.

Is it called the theory of evolution because it's a theory?
The big bang is also a theory. I'm not a religious person but theories are just that, theories. The big bang theory doesn't stack up when you scrutinize it. Most people hear the theory and take it as absolute fact. It's obvious how the universe was created; God reached out into the void and touched it, there was a big flash, and a bang,a very big bang (in the vacuum of space?) then everything came into being. I thought everybody knew this?

A scientific theory is different from an ordinary theory. (Like a meringue dress is not a meringue ;D)

      A scientific theory is fact.

Only fact according to what we currently know about the universe. We all once thought the earth was flat. Theories are theories, humans ain't so smart.

It's normal for people to have their own personal beliefs and not be able to understand and empathize with the differing beliefs others.
