Depends on whether or not there is a comment that falls within the ball-park of the answer that I was about to give.
Although most of the time when I don't comment on a story it is because I don't feel that I have any good advice to give.
Doesn't matter any poll/post is worth commenting on even if it sucks total fucking donkey balls in the mouth. lick it, mmmh nice.
It's neither normal nor not normal. It's your preference and it's not like anybody would really care...
I actually prefer being the first to comment, but even if I'm not I'll still provide my opinion on the OP's situation. However, if my opinion will only be a reiteration of what someone else said, then I see no point in commenting.
Why?
Even if a million people had said red was green, I'd still chip in and say it's red.
If a million people were saying red was green I might wonder if I had stumbled upon a colorblind convention.
I was going to mention that myself, Asch's is one of my favourite psychological studies! It's really interesting how easy people in a minority can be manipulated by the majority, and how it can also work visa versa :)
I'd never heard of it so had to go off and read. Interesting stuff. I've changed my mind to green.
It's your preference and there's nothing wrong with that. It really depends on the post for me.
If what you have to say has been said many times, then yes it is normal.
No.
I'll do this on message boards once threads have too many pages - well if i haven't been reading them already. but here it doesn't bother me
