Is it normal i dont want to go to college?

I been out of high school for a few years now. I learned to improve things I have issues doing by myself I was not taught by a teacher or anything. When I went to school some of my teachers were assholes and refused to teach and even for the ones who weren't I just did not get anything. I have a minimum wage job which has possibility of moving up to higher paying positions. School was so much bull shit though and I am so sick of dealing with people. One of my parents is bankrupt and the other is barely getting by so I don't want to ask them for money.

Don't let High School put you off College. College/University whatever the fuck you call it, is way way way different to High School. You are treated like an adult, you're independent, get to do whatever the fuck you want, skip class if you want, do loads and loads of sports, get smashed with your friends every night. It's amazing.

    Trust me on this one.
College is a hell of a lot different from High School. I'm not saying pack your bags to go. I work full time and I go to school full time. I have the Pell Grant. Anyone can apply. Just consider it.

For me and many other people College is different, you are treated as an adult. I hated many of the teachers in my school as many of them felt like they resented being there and took it out on the class, others just felt incompitent to teach but I can't stress enough just how different an environment college was for me

College is awesome, but don't let it consume you. Don't go to college to "discover your career" or to "figure out what you are going to do". Instead, let college aid you in your progression throughout your career. For example, lets say you work your way into a possible management position at a grocery store. To continue to move up, go to college and study management so that your degree ADDS to your work experience. In this day and age, experience is more important then ever. Unfortunately, college is not always the best place for it. But, I really think you will like college if you wait and figure out what you want to do first.

By all means you are missing out if you don't go. If you go to college it will be the best years of your life. No-one that has gone has said otherwise. So please don't judge college the way you judge high school. You do have to study hard to be successful later in life. After all that is the reason why you go but for your last 2 or 3 years, you will be studying things that you actually LIKE. When you finally graduate you will be in a class of individuals that command a higher salary than if you had not gone in your age group.
Trust me on this. I first tried doing it without college. It was difficult to succeed and when I finally did succeed I felt underachieved. If you get a college degree, success will come much easier than if you don't. Take it from a person that tried both approaches.

Join the military and go to college on the GI Bill. The military will teach you a trade and you will get to mature a bit. Maybe you might consider making the military a career it isn't a bad life. If you go into the right area you will learn valuable work lessons as well.

College was awesome! A damn good time and I was studying what I wanted to learn. I don't blame you for not wanting to go as it sounds like you're family's in dire straits but if I could do it again I sure as hell would. The only thing I would do different is cut back on the love/sex life and get less drunk so I could study harder and make better grades. But, I would not forsake the herb.

College sucks too. It's a lot of money to spend to be stoned and drunk all the time. Take online courses and go slow
