Is it normal i find fish appetizing while they're still whole

And sometimes also alive. I dont know if I would actually like to eat a whole raw fish, but it looks pretty appetizing and their blood smells appetizing too (from fishing trips catching mackerels)

    Some Japanese like to eat fish that are still moving, there is technique to cooking whithout killing. Tons of cultures and people eat whole fish. Combining the two and having a big flapping live snapper on your plate doesn't sound great though.

      How can you cook a fish without killing it?? Isn't there a temperature at which its enzymes start to denature and its cells break?
