Is it normal i gave my pets these crazy names?

Most people when they name their pets, they only give them one name (ex. "Bobby", "Pip"). But I gave my pets more complex names instead just one simple name.
My dog, a 3 year old keeshond, I named "Bucky Mulligan a.k.a The Fixer." I don't normally call him by that full name, usually I'll just say "Buck" or "yo Fixer" to get his attention. But I put that full name on his tag (including my last name after it)
My 3 snakes are Octavio Gutierrez, Victor bin Eastwood, and Drunk Benny.
For some reason it just doesn't feel right if I give a pet a simple singular name. My girlfriend thinks it's crazy. What do yall think?

Lol, funny names. But I mean that in a good way. Someone here a while ago named their cat Punk, and their fish were named Nook and Cranny. Haha!

I have a cat named Elba T.o'Malley Vrinchmaken Titi Tuon the XIII. Does that make you feel any better about naming your pets?

My pets have crazy names too! My dog is Zeusifer Antonio Aberforth (we just call him Zeus), my cats are Lucille Mae, Mister Kitty Jay, and Saint Nicholas Apollo Nero (Lucy, Mister, and Nick) and then my rat is named Charlie Rae. I used to have three dwarf hamsters named Ralphie Levesque, Irvine James, and Tuckett Margera.

Its probably better to give pets crazy names than give your kids crazy names.

Pedigree dogs are given long names when they are registerd. We had a dog when I was young called "John Ross Ewing" after the character in Dallas. My dad used to shout "John Ross" but we kids called him "JR"

Well, it's a big yay from me. Dogs, unlike children, don't get embarrassed by their names. You go for it! Also, get squirrelgirl to name one for you. She has a gift.

Aww thanks dappled! I agree that long and unique names for pets are the best. My cat once had kittens and I kept one for a couple of years until he ran away. His name was Miroku Hoshi-Sama Beef Wellington III. The "Miroku Hoshi-Sama" part was because I was 12 and obsessed with the anime Inuyasha at the time, and I just added "Beef Wellington III" because I wanted his "last name" to sound "regal". (Even though I was aware that Beef Wellington is a food not a name).

Ahh, there's lots of theories linking Beef Wellington with the Duke of Wellington so you've actually got the regal link subconsciously. And you reminded me, someone at University had a cat called "Emperor Hirohito the cat". When he was asked why he added "the cat" to the name, he said it was so people wouldn't think his cat with the real Hirohito. Funny!
