I had a paperclip and I swapped it on Craigslist for a pen, I swapped the pen for two D batteries, I swapped the batteries for a pack of baseball cards, I swapped those for a 2 slot toaster with one broken slot, and I swapped that for a 3 bedroom house in Detroit.

          I've heard they take you into a little room for a body cavity check when you return to the U.S.

            Never have yet, but one immigration officer did ask me where I was staying while in the US. I just waved my passport in his face and told him it was an inappropriate question. The stage 2 immigration officer laughed his ass off when the stage one officer explained how I was being difficult, and let me go with no further questions.
            I believe I heard him telling stage one to lighten up on citizens.
