Is it normal i hate being called "cute" and "sweet?"

I'm always torn by wanting to be cute but feeling safer being intimidating... so... I don't know how to answer this. XD

i get called cute and adorable which can be really patronizing at times but then i guess its still a compliment so i dont mind too much, at least im known as the cute girl rather than something insulting haha although i think it does stop people from taking me seriously or else they expect me not to be smart and are surprised when they find out i sorta am.

I guess it depends on how old you are and who's calling you that?

If it's your family members and you're like 11, 12,13 to 17 then it's expected.

If you're 22 and you're trying to get laid and guys call you cute and sweet it's probably annoying.

But as other's have said it's a compliment.

Cute means they find you attractive but you're probably too young to proposition for a screw, lol.

Sweet also means you're a cutie pie but probably too young to screw.

Also lots of guys without balls that don't know how to flirt may call you 'cute'.

Would you rather have people say 'Oh, you're so sexy! I wanna ___________!"

I get that feeling too sometimes. Only, it's more of when people tell me how pretty I am. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's flattering, but I feel like people won't take me seriously because I'm a pretty little girl and that annoys me. I don't like being judged by that kind of thing. I like being judged on my talents and abilities.

If you possess a quality, embrace it; don't run from it. And anything wears on your nerves if it gets said too much.

I get called sweet a lot, and while I don't think it really encompasses my personality, I'm fine with it. Better cute and sweet than nasty and crude.

I get called cute and sweet a lot. And yes, it is fucking annoying at times. There is a whole hell of a lot more to me than just a tiny package. But I don't actually want people to stop.

Are they calling you cute, like a little kid, or cute like a cute chick. These are two completely different ideas that should be taken completely differently. I would take it as a compliment if I were you XD

Normal. Most people I know describe me as cute, sweet, and innocent. I take it as a compliment even though I'm nowhere near innocent.

Haha, but cute things are so...cute. I think that's a good thing:). And I doubt speaking louder will make a difference, you'll just be known as the cute girl who speaks loudly.
