Is it normal i have deep questions about life?

Ever since I was 11, ive had deep thoughts about life, like how does the eye work?, or How did we get to this earth? I can spend hours thinking about these questions and try to think of a possible explanation. IIN? Does anybody else have this? *please no hurtful comments*

I think if we stop asking these types of questions, we will be in trouble.

I'm fairly certain it would be abnormal to not think of these things. The question of how we got here has probably been asked out loud or in the mind by half the people that have ever existed.

Of course. It's where my love of science comes from. Did you know that the eye sees all images upside down and the brain automatically flips it back the right way, because it's more useful to us that way?

Optics is an area of physics I occasionally struggled with when I was about 14 but if you persevere with it, it's quite interesting.

I've always wondered about things like this. And what's the point of wondering if you never try to find out? I've made it my goal to understand quantum mechanics, and occasionally I'll actually voluntarily research and write an essay about something I'd like to know more about. I LOVE SCIENCE!! What can I say?

Ask jehovahs witnesses. They have a leaflet called 'Would you like to know the truth?' it answers a lot of great questions!!

  • I actually know the "meaning" of life, I stumbled upon it one day.

but I'll never tell a soul, I'm taking that one to the grave.

          • Nope, it's not an "object". But you should know that the meaning of life wouldn't be a radom object lol. Otherwise everyone would've figured it out.

I know the answer and am revealing it only to my offspring. Here's a clue: Think of people in history that got the keys to the future, and unlocked what eventually became the present.

One gets themselves into trouble when they stop asking questions, accepts commonly held falsehoods as fact and becomes complacent in 'knowing' things that aren't actually real or true.
This does not necessarily mean that one shouldn't play around with fantasy or abstract thought.

  • Normal, but not common.

You should let your ideas spring purely from your own consciousness; uncorrupted by the preconceived notions of others.
