I like reading GQ, the mens fashion/entertainment magazine but I'm a girl. It's targeted for men and being straight I generally skip over the hottest chicks section. But I really enjoy reading the interviews and sometimes I like reading the mens fashion tips. Is it normal? Non of my girl friends read it. I do have a bf and I don't have penis envy or anything.
I get where your coming from. I've tried to find any article of interest in a women's mag at the dentist waiting room and it is impossible.

I subscribe to Classic Rock & get another mag they do called The Blues (cause I got 'em). Said women's magazines do one about angels and spirits, and you can have your guardian angel's portrait or your auras done. I find that much more interesting – the normal ones just depress me.
I had a subscription to GQ and Details. I'm a chick. The dudes in those magazines are really hot. Especially Details. I'd rather look at pictures of male models in various advertisements and outfits than chicks in fashion mags anyday
GQ was my favorite magazine for years and years, particularly during high school. I hated the vapid teen fashion magazines when I was younger, and the fashion magazines for women just start getting really annoying and repetitive after while. Some of them (like Allure) can get downright preachy, which is annoying.
I'm a straight guy but love it when a female housemate / friend / girlfriend has a girly mag lying around so I can read the trashy articles.
"What your boyfriend really means when he says he loves you (He wants to sleep with your best friend!)" Ha :P
So I understand the appeal, even if it is the fashion you enjoy.
