Is it normal i like to draw...

I have an obsession will drawing the teachers who taught me in education. It not life like so much, but I draw them as anime/manga chibi's. I remember when I gave one of my teachers a chibi of themselves and they liked it... I think. At least they said they did. I drew them from memory. Is it normal to draw them though?

I guess people are inspiring to draw. Maybe that is why I have always been a wallflower.

I think its typical for artists. I like drawing people too. I mostly like to draw strangers I see at random places.
I dont know, something about not knowing who they just makes me wanna include them in my paintings and create fictional stories about them in my head. They sort of give me inspiration in painting.
I once painted my neighbor for art class, simply cuz I thought her hair looked cool >.<

I have done many drawings. I've done a large amount of oil paintings also over the years. I have always found it strange, but i get very frustrated and in a bad frame of mind the following 2-3 days...even longer, if I am drawing or painting. My mind gets in a excitable state and it's like a hangover for several days later. I have to repeat it again and again if I'm not finished with the painting or drawing which is always the case. I'm worried to death, anxiety, and my mind is going all over the place all night every night re-visiting every single mark on the paper, and planning planning eveyr detail i can think of...strategies.
It's not good for me. But once I give it up for a couple weeks, i feel way way better. At least I've done a ton of paintings and drawings over the past 7 years. It was so hard, but did it.

Normal for creative people. I drew all the time in school. Mostly in math class. Good for my drawing skills, bad for my math.

I drew in math class when I was at school too. The teacher moaned at me for drawing at the start. I only did it because i finished all the work for the lesson in a matter of 15 minutes, even though it was a 3 hour lesson. I remember how he kept giving me work to do. I just kept completing it and going back to doodling again. He gave up giving me work to do because every time he checked I was right, well that and he didn't want to waste any more paper on printing out worksheets for me alone. I drew the time away and wandered into my world. That asshole said I was a poker face. Just because I didn't have an friends in that class, I didn't talk to anyone. And it wasn't like I was going to talk to him because I didn't know him. Ugh math.... Its not like the majority of it was going to help us in life anyway.

I do like it, but I feel as though it is slightly interfering with my work as I would just stop working and start drawing.

Well, if you feel that way, I would suggest setting some special drawing time. Maybe set up breaks from work so that you can draw, but not so much that you can't get your work done.
