Is it normal i like working out but never been to the gym?

I don't go to the gym because 1) everyone goes to the gym now, it's a trend and I don't wanna go looking like I'm there as a part of society and 2) I like doing Pilates and aerobics and that type of stuff, no machine, therefore I workout in my house or park anywhere but the gym. I've been working out since I was a little munchkin, the exercises just appealed to me and I haven't stopped. I love eating so my "fitness" life would be described as healthy and moderate because I don't workout to lose I workout to maintain and as said before, I love eating. So is it normal that I love working out but don't go to the gym? Who else does this?

I do. Gym membership is too expensive, and I don't like having wait in line.

yeah, it's absolutely normal -gym is not the only place that can help you to stayn fit. Actually, most of my fitness I've done in my own living room. You just need some basic equipment and pirate/buy a good fitness program to follow. (p90x, insanity, etc.). On the other hand some people like working out outside. Anything works, really.

However, if you decide to take it more seriously -for me it's easier to follow a strict training schedules when I do have a gym routine.

I love going to the gym, but it was so much of a part of my life when I was younger that I got used to all of it. Playing ball and running took a lot of gym time!

As far as normal, I think the majority of people are like you, preferring to work out at home, or somewhere disconnected from the judgement of a gym.

I used to go to the gym for "P.E" and I liked it at first, but then I started to hate it. I Did treadmill, the gym's version of yoga (synergy?) and some class that was a mixture between lifting weights/yoga (extremely painful). I was often crowded for my classes and I would often miss my tv shows. 2-3 fucking hours a day. Somewhere down the line, I started having trouble stretching and I was in allot of pain. I was told to continue the classes! Many years later, I discovered that I had a health issue, that I'm still being tested on and the Exercise appears to have "aggravated" it! So now I can't do anything psychical!

My point is, be safe about it. Don't work out too much or you'll hurt yourself. If you're experiencing extreme pain, don't continue the workout and stop. If pain continues every time you workout, see a doctor.

i prefer the convenience of my house over the hours of the gym and the 15 minute drive to get there and being judged as well, home is the way to go

Yes, it's normal. I kind of do the same thing. I used to go to the gym until I got harassed there, and long story short, I rather take walks to the park or mountain. It's better that way.
