Meh, probably. I can't say your going to make a lot of friends though, lol. Muslims will think of you as a deserter of the faith, and with the way they're going about their massacres (depending on where you live, but lately it feels like I'm reading about them everywhere...), I'd hate to be on the wrong end of that. And, of course, everyone seems to hate Muslims now... so if you look the Muslim part and say you were born Muslim... again, not many friends. And as far as atheists go... everyone is going to be trying to convert you and when you refuse to comply... again, not too many friends... but more then if you were Muslim at this point in time... of course this is heavily dependent on where you live and what ethnicity you are.... good luck! If you're atheist then technically you're no longer a muslim (since you don't believe in Allah or the prophet). This means you'd be an apostate and your muslim family/community would be obliged to kill you according to the Quran.

But nobody is born of any religion-it is taught to you. Technically every child's default view is atheist-until you're brainwashed to think there's some magic skygod watching you jerk off and created a hell for you to go to.

Normal, I guess, but how are you born Muslim? I thought people were born Arabs, Persians, or whatever, but Islam is a religion that is learned. Remember that everyone is born an atheist, we are taught religion.

Yes. You are able to make your own decisions. It may well be harder for you, though, depending on how religious your family are.
