Is it normal i'm afraid of looking into a telescope?

I love looking at the stars in my backyard and stuff. But for some reason, I'm extremely afraid of looking into a telescope to see it all up close and see further than my own eyes can see. Especially with good quality telescopes because you can see everything clearly.

I once had a nightmare that I looked into a telescope, and the images kept changing to very different things each time. (Like a slideshow. Kind of like in the way Dory in Finding Nemo was getting her flashbacks when she remembered everything.) Only the ''slideshow'' was much longer and quicker. It went from showing stars, to satelite maps, to planets, etc.

It had the effect of showing images that were further and further away from me each time, and it really scared me to see things that are so far away.
