Is it normal i'm prolife - in everything!

1. I'm against abortion for 2 reasons. The first I cannot say, and you wouldn't believe it anyway. The second is that they have brain activity long before viability. Are you serious when you say that they should be aborted even when they are obviously alive? And the same arguments that people use for being pro-choice can easily be applied to babies out of the womb. This is not the majority of the reason I am against abortion, the first reason is.

2. I am for 'entitlement programs'. We can't just let children starve to death.

3. I am against the death penalty except for extreme cases of mass murder, war crimes, and serial killing where there are eyewitnesses or the bodies are on the person's property.

4. I hate the drug war. How many people in Mexico is killed over this? And even in our street gangs? I don't think meth or heroin should be legal, I think psychadelics and cocaine should be legal. Obviously marijuana as well.

    1) in not shure if I'm pro abortion or not, I do beleve that givig it a simple yes or no awnser is not wright, it's too easy to sa it's ok or not, there are so many variables, like if the woman got impregnated by rape, tell me how are you going to tell your son -your father raped me-, plus after rape women usualy try to purge all remnents of the incident from their life, the tought of forcing ta woman to keep the product or her rape growing inside her is horrifing. or a very young girl gets pregnent, and her life is destind to be rouind by one mistake she made.
I don't beleve that abortions should be done only because the child is malformed or got downs. (mabe if the child is so deformed that he\she will have constant fisical suffering), so I beleve there sould be some kind of judge or comitee that studies every case and sees if it's the best option for the woman.

ps. I do beleve that we should worry about the people who are already alive first.

2)100% agreed, and theire are starving adults to worry about as well, just because children are cute dosen't mean we should focus only on them.
3)agreed, no one has the wright to take your life away no matter what.
    4) agreed, partialy, I don't think psikedellcs should be legal because they can be very unpredictable.

I'm totally pro-abortion. Kids don't ask to be born and if there's the slightest hint that they're unwanted then for the child's sake it's better not to be subjected to bad parenting.

I think youre exagerating the worth of life - its quality of life thats important, not life itself - would you rather have kids in families who dont want them and in care homes where they havent got a real family?

True, but that time of life affects them forever. I'm just making the point that actual life has no value, but quality of life matters a lot

Yeah it's normal to have an opinion.

    1. I disagree. I'm pro-choice. The brain activity argument isn't too helpful when scientists also say mentally children are no different from wild animals till the age of 3. Abortion is a medical procedure and it's the only medical procedure made illegal by the government. Abortion affects people in the lowest income the most drastically. The people that just can't wait it out for adoption or go to another state for abortion. Making abortion illegal wouldn't stop abortion it would just make back alley abortions more common. Legalizing it makes it safer for women. It also depresses me that stories of couples denied their abortions are less likely to make the news than a single teenager that wants an abortion (Teenagers make up less than 20% of abortion patients.)

    2. Entitlement programs cover a wide ground. I'm all for student loans and food stamps. But social security is screwing me over.

    3. I'm against the death penalty because it has no effect on lowering the crime rate and is surprisingly more expensive than life in prison. In short it's pointless.

    4. I do think that marijuana should be legal. I don't think a person who smokes pot should sit in jail just for that. The drug war is a horrible mess. I think 4,000 people died in Juarez alone. I'm speaking of the root of the problem in Mexico where the government actually sent soldiers to take down the mob. (The way the "Drug War" is explained in the USA's government makes it seem more like an empty political phrase.) But like I said earlier it's a horrible mess and though I'd like it solved I have no idea how that would happen.

I am pro-life too. Call me a hippy, but I feel like a life is a life. Why should the life of someone whose been living longer be more important than the life of one that just started. To me, if you are capable of killing something just because it isn't born yet, then, by all means, go kill someone off the street. It's still a life. Whether life is a special, miraculous thing or just something that happens on this earth, beats me, but regardless of how special it may be, it's still the same thing, young or old, and if you feel that someone who has already walked the earth has a right to live then you should feel that something that hasn't been born yet has a right to live as well.

    I understand.

Personally, I am pro-choice because if it is illegal, women will still do it and the results will be much worse. But I still see it as killing your offspring. When you are impregnated, you are impregnated with your offspring. If you choose to end something's life, it is killing and if the fetus dies when taken from the womb (which is does) that is killing. Abortion, in it's most technical sense, is essentially the killing of your offspring.

And there are good arguments as to why a women should be allowed to kill her offspring while it is still developing in her body. At the same time, I don't want to live in a country that can tell me what I can and can't do with my body. A country shouldn't have that much power.

I can't convince you to be pro-choice because I don't believe in abortion myself, but I don't believe that a woman should be forced to go through with a pregnancy that she can't handle to have a child that was at a loss from the get go. That said, I must add, I have nothing against abortion for medical purposes, it would be stupid to carry out a pregnancy that will get you both killed. I have nothing against anyone who gets an abortion, I just don't like it. It's not a religious thing or the way I was raised, I felt this way before I set foot in a church.

I'm just thankful that I have never been put in that situation, that the birth control always worked and that my husband loves kids. I feel really bad for women in situations in which they are pregnant and this is their only feasible option, regardless of how they got there. But it is normal to value children, as they are innocent and must be protected.

What exactly is your point? What are you even asking? Our opinions?

Um...I'd have to disagree with the abortion thing. Do you genuinely believe that making abortion illegal is going to prevent some people from getting rid of the baby? There are other, and very dangerous, ways of doing that. Also, say the baby is born (even though the parents don't want it), what sort of life is that baby going to have? What if the mother can't even look after herself? And do you think that the second the mother looks at the baby her life will change and she'll realise how wrong she was? That might happen in certain situations, but sometimes the parents just don't want children. Why force them to? I think taking freedoms like that away is beyond idiotic and wrong on so many levels. Yes, people should take the decision very seriously, but they should still have the option to make that decision.

I only half agree with the death penalty statement. I think it should be illegal. That's it.

And as for war, I don't like any wars, not just drug wars. I think we should have more freedom with drugs as well.

That was a brief summary of my beliefs regarding the topics you mentioned. Is that the sort of answer you were looking for?...I'm kind of confused as to what you want here.

        Oh, well those are mine:).

Btw, if I were you I would edit your post to clarify that you want people's opinions. It might come across as you just ranting with no purpose otherwise.

I can't wait until we pass Prop 110: Men are allowed to assault women against their will in order to end their pregnancies.

I'll also be voting for Prop 115: Men caught touching themselves will be charged with sexual assault.
