Is it normal i'm questioning my boyfriend's sexuality?

He says he's straight, all his exes are females but he seems gay sometimes.

He dresses like a guy but spends about 2-3 hours before we leave the house figuring out what to wear, doing his hair etc. I don't mind that because he looks good but he takes longer than me and he asks me to smell him before we leave and if his outfit looks good. Again this is really good but also I'm not used to a guy doing this.

Also he collects cologne and loves shopping for new cologne and clothes. I can be waiting for him for over 2 hours before he finally finishes trying colognes to smell and trying on clothes in the fitting room. He owns over 30 colognes at home and he also has over 20 pairs of shoes.

He also loves flowers and buys them often to keep in his house. He also regularly carries a bag around with him that has cologne, hair product etc.

He has a slightly softer voice than most men and one time a man asked him out in front of me and I said he's my boyfriend..it was a little awkward. My parents thought he was bisexual when they first met him.

His favorite movies are romantic comedies.

He has three sisters and was raised by only his mom/never had a father figure so maybe that has something to do with it? His two closest friends are straight guys though. He definitely seems physically and emotionally attracted to me.

None of those things are indications of his sexuality. A lot of straight guys care a lot about their appearance and hygiene, and a lot of dudes just have naturally higher pitched voices etc. Just like how a lot of gay guys are slobs that dont care about their appearance or just present very masculine.

As a guy who has lived most of his life with abysmally low testasterone I can say with certainty that it does not play a factor in how feminine you may act. Honestly it's all about vanity and how much you actually care about your appearance. I dont give a right fuck about it with or without testasterone.

That being said i do have some modest fashion and color sense. I just dont use it as often as I could.

Being effeminate doesn’t necessarily mean bisexual. You might work in bisexuality in a conversation and see how he reacts.

    Oh, for fuck sake! 🙄

The definition of being gay really isn't that fucking difficult to grasp: sexual attraction to those of your own sex. It has absolutely nothing to do with a strong interest (or obsession) with one's own appearance, interest in fragrances or flowers, or tastes in movies.

I know you might find this challenge to your silly little stereotypes very hard to accept, but there are gay men who don't give a shit about their appearance or how they smell, sound a lot like Minnie Mouse when they talk, work in stereotypically masculine fields like construction, and really enjoy hunting and other stereotypically masculine activities.

If you find being with the guy so damn "awkward", go find yourself some guy whose biggest fear is being called gay and therefore strives to always behave in stereotypically masculine ways. I imagine you'd be more comfortable introducing such a jerk to your friends and family. However, you might want to consider that it is a fact that guys who strive to never do anything that might be considered gay very often do that because they're in denial about their true feelings and urges in connection to other men.

You’re obviously self conscious about something… everything they described is gay, stereotype are there for a reason because they are true if you think stereotypes are not true you were a little too sheltered as a child

I supposed if he grew up with nothing but chicks in the house he's gonna act more girls. Probably something you'll have to overcome if you stay with him

This is gender-stereotyping. He can be a heterosexual man who likes to take care of his appearance.

If you think stereotypes are true, then you're just an idiot. I really hope this is trolling.

I have noticed guys being a little off when they grew up only around women. How can women teach a boy to be a man? Their feminine energy rubs off on them.

Disagree. My brother was raised by mom mostly as well as me his sister, and he's typically manly, works on cars and exercises etc... Not driven by emotion but very practical, though he's a nice loyal guy to the people in his life.
I have a male friend though who has older brothers hence grew up around guys and he's the most feminine man i've ever met, super into anime and collecting merch that includes plushies as well as talking in a feminine way even though he's straight. Feels kinda like having a gay friend though.

Dude is definitely weird maybe he's more like a trany than a faggot. Might actually be a trany. Bruce Jenner never went full troon for a long time. Most tranys seem to be strait thus the reason dykes hate them so much.

I thought faggot too but the history of girl friends kind of threw me. Then again, he actually acts feminine and as we know tranys do not, the're lumber jacks in dresses.
