Is it normal i'm self conscious about my job?

my girlfriend is a nurse and her friends are all in the medical field. We all get together on weekends sometimes for birthday occasion or something, but anyway, i get self conscious about what i do for a living, I replace street light poles all over the city that get knocked over by drunk drivers ect. Its dangerous work which intails working with live electricity and heavy broken concrete broken poles. How do people think about this kinda work, or what kind of person does this, does it seem impressive or......? This is how i used to feel many years ago when i was a janitor in a Hospital.

sounds just ok 9

It is better than not working at all. Its really none of anyones business what you do for a living. Just enjoy life with your girlfriend and stop worrying about dumb shit. Maybe talk to your gifriend about trying painal if you guys havent already. Painal is what connects all living things. Painal makes two things become one.

if you try your best at your work and bring home a decent paycheck don't even worry about it. It reminds me of my husband hes the grill guy at a deli and owns his own cleaning company. He went to cooking school and is a a very busy deli that hes been working for for 14 years, he makes great money. Most his friends are doctors or lawyers, I remember when we first started dating he explained that he feels like people look down on him or think its not legit. I told him who cares, you work hard, you take care of everything. Be confident, be proud what you do and I feel like these people in the medical field should respect, if not they suck anyway. lol

That's very important work you are doing, just as essential as work in the medical field. I'm impressed! and you should be impressed with yourself!

If your girlfriend and her friends all talk medical stuff when you're the only one who can't, don't be self-conscious, I'll bet you have some great stories about your work they'd lover to hear.

I see no difference in worth between using one's intellect to make the world a better place and using one's physical strength and training to do the same.

Lmfao you should be ashamed for failing in life. How does it feel knowing your girl is getting railed every day at work by a hot doctor?
