Is it normal i only drive in first gear?

When I drive my manual, I always stay in first gear with gas pedal floored. I never lift my right foot from the gas.
I do this because I hate having to move my leg constantly from gas to brakes, and just can't be assed to do this as this interrupts when I'm watching movies, therefore I just floor the gas so my leg can rest.

This includes all traffic situations, e.g. highways, on inclines this can go a little slow but I don't hurry, and on declines I just floor the clutch and gas so I just roll (I know the gas is useless here, but as I said, I never take my foot off the gas.)

When standing at red stoplights I usually hear people shout something at me because of the noise, but I just ignore them because I'm too lazy to respond to them...
And at night time in the neighborhood the loud engine noise causes some people to wake up and yell at me, but well, I couldn't care less.

The only time I bother to move my hand to the stick-shift is when I have to suddenly stop, I then quickly shift to reverse and dump the clutch to stall the engine.

I'm not concerned about the fuel economy or the car, and when it'll fail, I'll just go get another one, as it still takes less effort than having to move the legs and hands constantly...

So, any other lazy drivers here?

Please, apologize with your car and learn to drive.

The relationship a driver has with his car is supposed to mean something. If you are going to be lazy and not take those bonds seriously, maybe the car life isn't for you.

How have you not blown your engine yet? Do you not red-line like crazy? I didn't even know this was possible! I go past like 20 or 30 and my car does not like that. Just buy an automatic?

I'm so confused with this one...
