Is it normal i self isolated before the pandemic

Before the pandemic hit New Zealand where I'm from, I literally self-isolated due to depression. Then we went on to lockdown, which didn't even affect me at all. now my town in nz is out of lockdown, i'm still self- isolating due to depression AND anxiety. Is this normal??

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Is it normal? No. Of course not. Is it a normal symptom of depression? Yes.

If you can afford to, seek out therapy or medication. Possibly both. Whichever you prefer.

I've done it for years. I have an autism spectrum disorder and am not a people person anyway.

I can relate. I've been getting progressively more reclusive, and introverted over the past several years. I don't know what I should do.

I do want to ask you a question. How to you feel about your tendency to self isolate? Do you want to do anything about it?
