Is it normal i smoke more every time i think of quitting?

It's so hard, I don't want to anymore, I find it disgusting and I hate the smell on me and my things but I feel like I can't do it, not even start. I smoke way more and get very anxious when I think about it. Help :(

  • I used to smoke almost 2 packs a day. I quit using the e-cigarette and it worked great. I went a year with rarely smoking. I have since taken up smoking again when I drink or work because I missed it so much. I may quit doing that again someday but I will never smoke like I used to again. Good luck.

    I quit after 25 years, I doubt u been smoking that long get a Patch, and eat a little more, then u should b able to do it. You may gain weight but u will lose it again I did! And drink a lot of water.

    My advice is find something that takes your mind of it. Find a hobby that really connects with you that you do in your spare time. Then when you want to quit focus hard on that hobby when you aren't otherwise occupied. When your mind is occupied it isn't hard to quit.

    I'm an ex-smoker, so I've been there. Honestly that is the secret for two weeks you need to keep yourself busy and then it will get much easier. Nicotine gum and snus can help too but the main thing is keeping occupied.

  • Try to not think about it, when you think about it you get cravings. Keep quitting and try to go as long as you can, when you cave simply quit the next day and try again. Keep on trying until you suceed.

    I used to smoke 10 a day and now I only smoke 2. I think that is more efficient to quit

    Same here. Try keeping count of how many you smoke throughout the day. I haven't been able to quit, but keeping count has helped me cut down to as low as 4 a day. You feel proud of yourself when you know how much you've cut back and the more you cut back the less cravings you'll have. I plan on quitting by the time I'm 30...
