I'm 18 still sucking my thumb..but it's not just that. i'll sit there and twirl my hair while sucking my thumb. Or pick my nose rub my boogers on my upper lip. It's disgusting , I agree. I've been sucking my thumb since and playing with my hair since I was a baby... idk when the other habit picked up... i dont do it in public or around people im not comfortable with.. but it usually happens when im falling asleep or watching a movie...

    It was normal until the boogers ruined the normality!

    You are soothing yourself. I sucked my thumb until like 16 . I did not find out that I was an incest survivor until I was 28. I think I sucked my thumb to soothe myself.

    I'm going to say the sucking of the thumb is normal I still do it on occasion. I can't speak for the booger thing.
