Is it normal i think the big bang theory is inaccurate.

The big bang theory is based upon evidence that the universe is expanding.
However I do not think this proves it all. Even if there was a big bang, it expands and collapses. Either way though it is cyclic.
So how is it expanding and imploding at the same time?
Within deep space it is likely that our laws of space and time are quite different than here.
There is no beginning or end. Time is not linier the way we think it is. We simply perceive it as linier because that is what our simple minds can perceive and comprehend.
Not only that but it seems that the universe expands into itself. A simple way to think of it is like a pac-man game, only way more complex and with more dimensions than most people aknowledge.

        That's a weird video.

By the second law of thermodynamics, the universe will eventually reach a state of maximum entropy whereby no energy will be allowed to be transferred. Atoms cannot move, light cannot propagate, time ceases to exist.

If the universe is cyclical, I believe this is the singularity that the big bang is borne out of. But of course that only begs the question of how the Big Bang actually occurs, and science does not presently have an answer to explain this.

It's understandable that you would come to this conclusion as the theory leaves missing pieces unanswered. What do you think about string theory? There's another theory that's quite recent. It theories that our universe may exist within a black hole. Black holes consume matter so, if something is going in, it has to come out. Which is where wormholes and white holes come into play. http://www.mnn.com/earth-matters/space/stories/our-entire-universe-might-exist-inside-a-massive-black-hole-say

    • Intresting. I had not heard of the theory about being in a black hole. I think most if not everything is some sort of paradox. I just replied to Icame's comment on this same thread asking about string theory as well.

Whoa. Hold on there Boy Scout. At the present rate of expansion, the Universe does not have enough mass to eventually slow it to zero velocity and start contracting. (Remember that escape velocity indefinite integration problem from Calculus 101?)

For an oscillating universe, somebody would have to discover way more dark matter than what appears to be out there. Entropy will indeed max out into a cold photon soup.

In my own perspective Big Bang theory is naturally impossible. It contradicts the law of the nature in which it is impossible for the one to occur without the source of the other. If anyone is particular into a Cause and Effect argument should've known this. I am a big Nature guy in to the sense that i am believing that this universe would not occur if not by the other who would have caused for it to be created. If you believe in God, it would be easier for you to understand things in further i suppose. That's all i guess. :)

You know there is alternative theories to this right? Look up some of the newer theories.

  • This is pretty normal. What do you think about string theory?

    • I do believe there are multiple universes overlapped. I often wonder how scientists are able to observe things so small, or so big for that matter, without actually seeing it. I will not be surprised if within a few years they will have different ideas and say everything we currently know is wrong.
I know that with string theory, tiny things can be in multiple places at once. This makes me wonder if every string may very well be the same string, in multiple places. I also have wondered if you zoom in enough our own universe is in that particle. I thought of this long ago but I saw this same idea on a Simpson's intro that show's the idea pretty well. I'll link it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0VkoNLOKss
I doubt we well ever know much for certain.

Jeez I wasn't aware there were so many quantum physicists using this site. The big bang theory eloquently explained by the OP. Its all so clearer now . . .

I once fucked a fat chick. It was a really big bang. Take my word for it. It was like boinking a big bag of ballistic gel and I know because I once fucked a big bag of ballistic gel.

Wasn't it some old guy (perhaps father time?) with long white hair and beard who lit a match for his pipe, but accidentally started the whole damn thing? I seem to remember something about it in school.....
