Is it normal i want more pets?

I already have three pets, but I ALWAYS want more. For fun, I search pet classifieds. is it normal to always want more of them even if you already have a couple?

If I lived somewhere rural, I'd make it happen. I'd take the animals that others couldn't keep and I wouldn't limit it to just cats and dogs. I'd take as many as I could afford to feed. I would take animals with behavior problems and train them to be better pets so that someone would want to adopt them.

    I love animals too but I don't live in a place where I could take care of many. It wouldn't help to save a lot from the pound then not be able to give each one the attention they deserve. I just have one cat right now

    I would love to do something like that. Of course, you'd have to be careful with the 'problem' animals.

      I'm great with "problem" animals. I have an enormous amount of patience when it comes to animals and children

    As long as you have the time, money, and means to take care of them pets are wonderful! The only thing you want to worry about is becoming that crazy pet person who has more cats then floor space and smells like pee.

    If you are able to afford them, I'd say go for it. I love pets, as well. But they can be a handful, which is why I only have a dog and cat.

    You can have plenty of pets by doing this:
    1. own a Gameboy Advance
    2. have a Pokemon Cartridge
    3. catch all the Pokemons
    Problem solved.. :P

    Honestly, I have 2 Dogs, a pair of house lizards and a colony of ants... I really want to own a cat but most of the people I know says its not good to own a cat if you have an asthma. I also tried hamsters and albino rats. And also a stag beetle and dragonflies, insects dies easily I don't know how to treat them well.

    Gotta go out on a limb and say no. An insatiable urge to fill your life with limitless amounts of anything is abnormal.

    Also, just something to consider: All the people who become animal hoarders are in denial about how many they can care for. They'll be like, "Just one more... okay, one more..." and they won't realize a year later they have like sixty. They'll only realize they have a problem when they are forced by family or friends to step back and look at the bigger picture.

    My grandmother was a cat hoarder, and it was heartbreaking because she wasn't rich, and the food costs put her into poverty. Not saying this would happen to you, but maybe you should examine why you want all of these animals? What need are you trying to fulfill in your life?

    Maybe you could make a living off of it or do it as a hobby on the side. Help other people with pet problems. That way you get to see animals all the time. Or even try to find a local pet store and work there. I'm sure it would satisfy you even a little bit?

    I dont have any pets but I love them! When I was a kid I would always ask for one... never got one. I want to get a lil pup when I finally have my own home. Lucky you. :)

    Sure it's normal, just make sure you can take care of them.:) I love animals too, someday I plan on having about 3 cats, 1 dog and who knows how many fish, insects and arachnids. I just have 1 cat right now.

      I have fish too, but it's more of a hobby because a fish is not really a pet to me. I like to pet my pets. I've had a few different types of lizards, toads, and turtles as pets too. I would never keep a live arachnid in my house though. It gives me shivers just to think about it.

        We did have 5 but we're down to 3 . They are a lot of fun and they are friendly. We let them out twice a day for about an hour because when they aren't sleeping they are energy balls. And they each have a different personality. Its pretty fun to watch them play and do the weaseled war dance :)
